Entrepreneurship
Box, Inc. Case Study
Read the Box, Inc. case study (end of chapter 7). Answer these questions:
1. Will Aaron be the next Bill Gates of flame out before Box can become profitable and really large?
2. What is the culture of the company?
3. What accounts for it being so open and freewheeling?
4. How does the culture reflect the four founders, their history together, their ages, the culture of Silicon Valley, etc.?
Make sure paper body starts with a summary where there is a statement of thesis (overview of the points to be made), continues with a discussion (or specific answers to specific questions), and ends with a conclusion. The five specific questions should be annotated and have specific answers. Please double space—it’s easier for the grader to make comments.
All papers should be written in the third person (he, he, it, and they). Make every effort not to shift to second person (you, your) as in, “When starting a company you need money.” Try to avoid shifting to the first person (I, we) as well. It is distracting to the reader and bad style to shift persons in a paper—students often do it in the middle of a sentence.
The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:
· Write between 750 – 1,250 words (approximately 3 – 5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style, see example below.
· Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
· Include cover page and reference page.
· At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
· No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
· Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
· Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.
References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.

We have discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship and small business development. In
particular, we have seen that there is a strong relationship between the individual entrepreneur
and the business s/he establishes and subsequently manages.
Drawing on material from the lecturer’s notes and independent research, construct a detailed
profile of an entrepreneur. In particular, you should examine the:
 background of the entrepreneur (E.g. childhood influences, family, triggering event)
 the decision to start-up the business
 the subsequent management and development of the new venture (E.g. Craftsman,
Opportunistic entrepreneur)
You should draw on the relevant material from the text and relate it directly to the material
you find. The better answers will provide a thorough analysis of the entrepreneur’s profile by
drawing on the relevant theories from the literature.

Plagiarism is the most serious academic offence. It is the equivalent of stealing someone’s
work and fraudulently pretending that it is your own in order to gain higher marks than you
deserve. Copying, word for word, large chunks of writing from any source (e.g. paper, book,
the internet) without acknowledgement of the author or owner, is plagiarism. With modern
technology this has become increasingly easy to do and anyone who suspects that it is
happening should seek advice immediately. This also applies to a situation where you have
lent someone your work to help them and they have substantially reproduced it without
acknowledgement.

Business & Finance homework help

Suppose that there are two products: clothing and soda. Both Brazil and the United States produce each product. Brazil can produce 100,000 units of clothing per year and 50,000 cans of soda. The United States can produce 65,000 units of clothing per year and 250,000 cans of soda. Assume that costs remain constant. For this example, assume that the production possibility frontier (PPF) is a straight line for each country because no other data points are available or provided. Include a PPF graph for each country in your paper. Chapter 5 of the Suranovic text is a good reference for this task.
Complete the following:

  • What would be the production possibility frontiers for Brazil and the United States?
  • Without trade, the United States produces AND CONSUMES 32,500 units of clothing and 125,000 cans of soda.
  • Without trade, Brazil produces AND CONSUMES 50,000 units of clothing and 25,000 cans of soda.
  • Denote these points on each COUNTRY’s production possibility frontier.
  • Using what you have learned and any independent research you may conduct, which product should each country specialize in, and why?

To assist in your thinking and discussion, additional questions to consider include:

  • What is the labor-intensive good?
  • What is the Marginal Rate of Transformation impact?
  • What is the labor-abundant country?
  • What is the capital-abundant country?
  • Could trade help reduce poverty in Brazil and other developing countries?
